Wizkid regretted blasting me for releasing a song during EndSARS protests – Reekado Banks

by Admin

Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has revealed that Wizkid later expressed regret for insulting him after he announced the release of their collaborative song Omo Olomo during the EndSARS protests in October 2020.

Their fallout at the time shocked many, especially after Wizkid publicly called Reekado a “fool” and a “clout animal” for promoting music while the nation was in mourning.

In a recent interview on The Esther Show, Reekado explained that it wasn’t his decision to release the song at that time—his management had insisted, despite his reservations.

According to him, Wizkid recently visited his restaurant and they had a heartfelt conversation. The Starboy singer admitted his reaction back then was harsh and also spoke about his behaviour toward Don Jazzy.

“He was a little regretful about it,” Reekado shared. “He said he shouldn’t have gone that route. He also mentioned that we’re three people in the industry who recently lost our moms, and he feels sorry about that time. So we’re good now.”
