GADA Awards 2025: Free hotel rooms will be offered to guests from Finland – The Obi of Houston

The second edition of the Global African Diaspora Awards (GADA) will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Golden Tree Banquet in Houston, Texas, USA.

 The Global African Diaspora Awards (GADA) is an event that brings together African game-changers and high-flyers from around the globe who are committed to changing the narratives and making our voice heard in their chosen fields. The honorees of African backgrounds are drawn from different countries, irrespective of their color, race, and culture. The maiden edition, which took place on September 21, 2024, in Houston, Texas, had in attendance over 300 people who came from different countries and different US states.

 

GADA Awards brought together an impressive array of influential figures from various industries, including top executives in oil and gas, leaders in technology and healthcare, esteemed legal professionals, prominent business leaders, and renowned entertainment executives. The event also attracted community advocates, social influencers, and talented music artists, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and celebration. 

According to the founder and CEO, Obi-West Utchaychukwu who is fondly called The Obi of Houston, “guests from Finland will be offered a free hotel rooms in a quality hotel in Houston. Obi-West lived in Finland for a decade before moving to the United States about two years ago where he established the GADA Awards which is reputedly Houston’s most glamorous awards gala.

This year’s edition will be bigger and better with more celebrities attending the event, he stated. GADA Awards will be held in different cities of the world, starting with Paris, France, in 2027, as we continue to amplify the collective voice of Africans across the globe.
