Klitschko: Joshua Will Beat Fury

by Admin

Former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has endorsed Anthony Joshua to defeat Tyson Fury in a potential high-profile match between the British rivals.

Reflecting on the fight, Klitschko, who has faced both fighters later in his career, expressed confidence in Joshua’s ability to beat Fury, praising his physical attributes and ongoing improvements in the sport.

“Hands down, Joshua,” Klitschko said when asked about the outcome of a Fury-Joshua bout. “He is becoming the complete fighter. Technically, size-wise, weight-wise, power-wise. And he is a good learner.”

Klitschko, who lost controversially to Fury in 2015 and by knockout to Joshua in 2016, questioned Fury’s long-term discipline.

“The other guy (Fury), like a fart in the wind, it is there and it is gone,” he remarked. “In boxing history, there are many examples of such individuals. They can achieve success temporarily but lack the discipline to maintain it.”

Klitschko’s comments come amid speculation about a future unification fight between the two heavyweights, although both fighters have significant challenges ahead.

Joshua is set to fight Daniel Dubois, the IBF titleholder, in September, aiming to revive his career after recent setbacks. Meanwhile, Fury is preparing for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, seeking to regain the world titles held by the Ukrainian.

Should both fighters win their upcoming bouts, a potential unification fight in 2025 could be on the horizon.

Klitschko’s prediction adds intrigue to the narrative of what could be one of the most significant British boxing events in recent years, provided both men clear their respective hurdles and eventually face each other in the ring.
