Stefano Pioli is edging closer to leaving Al-Nassr due to his strained relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pioli took charge of the Saudi club in September 2024 after Luis Castro’s dismissal. However, Al-Nassr currently sits third in the Saudi Pro League, trailing leaders Al-Ittihad by 10 points, with only two wins in their last five league games.
According to SportItalia, Pioli is on the brink of leaving due to ongoing tensions with Ronaldo. If he departs, Roma is reportedly interested in securing his services, with Claudio Ranieri expected to leave at the end of the season.
Tensions between Pioli and Ronaldo allegedly began after the coach substituted the star forward during Al-Nassr’s 3-1 win over Al-Kholood. Ronaldo had opened the scoring within four minutes, and Al-Nassr led 3-0 before Pioli made the controversial decision, surprising the Portuguese captain.
