Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has issued a clear warning to Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, stressing that the forward must show complete commitment before being welcomed back into the squad.
Lookman’s transfer saga over the summer unsettled the club, with reports claiming he pushed for a move to Inter Milan. The 27-year-old missed two weeks of training and has since struggled to regain his place under Gian Piero Gasperini.
While acknowledging the winger’s talent, Percassi underlined that focus and dedication are non-negotiable:
“We all know how good he is, but to play for Atalanta, you must be 100% focused. When he’s ready, we’ll be waiting for him with open arms,” he said.
Concerns have also emerged over Lookman’s training attitude, with head coach Ivan Juric making it clear he won’t beg the player to return. The responsibility now lies with the Super Eagles star to prove his readiness.
