Former President Joe Biden has expressed heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming support he received following news of his diagnosis with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
“Cancer touches us all,” Biden shared in a social media post on Monday, May 19. “Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”

Biden and his family are currently exploring treatment options with his medical team following his diagnosis on Friday, according to a statement from his office.
The former president has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, classified as a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), with metastasis to the bone. While the cancer is described as a more aggressive form, the statement added that it appears to be hormone-sensitive, which makes it more manageable with appropriate treatment.
