A fleet of trucks at the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, began loading Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) on Sunday.

Videos shared on the Dangote Group’s X handle showed trucks from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited engaged in the process. The tweet announced, “First set of trucks set for loading of PMS at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.”

The national oil firm also tweeted on Saturday, stating that hundreds of trucks would be sent to the refinery for petrol loading on Sunday. The NNPC added, “In preparation for the Dangote Refinery’s scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, 15th September 2024, NNPC Ltd has been mobilising trucks to the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki. As of Saturday afternoon, over 100 trucks had been deployed, with hundreds more on their way.”
