Afrobeats star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has celebrated his latest milestone on Spotify.
His new single, Funds, featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, set a new record for the biggest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria.
The previous record, held by Wizkid’s Kese, stood at 4.72 million streams, but Funds surpassed it with an impressive 4.82 million streams in its debut week.
Music monitoring platform, TheDebutHub, announced the achievement via Twitter: “New record. Davido’s Funds ft. ODUMODUBLVCK & Chike breaks the record for the biggest 1st streaming week on Spotify Nigeria.
“— Funds recorded 4.82M streams, surpassing Kese (Dance) (4.72M).”
In response, Davido simply wrote, “We believe in God.”
