Don Jazzy donates ₦100 million to VeryDarkMan’s NGO

by Admin

Social media personality VeryDarkMan has revealed that renowned music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, is the generous donor behind the ₦100 million contribution to his newly launched Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

VeryDarkMan, who previously shared that the NGO will focus on community development and improving public schools, initially expressed concern in an Instagram video about the large deposit and called on Zenith Bank for an investigation.

“@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what’s happening—hope I’m not being set up. I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness, I don’t know what’s going on with the account,” he posted.

However, in a follow-up video on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy had personally reached out, clarifying that he made the donation to support the cause. He said, “Guys, yesterday I posted that I received ₦100m in my account. I didn’t receive an alert. I just saw the balance had increased from ₦70m to ₦170m plus.

“I panicked because I didn’t expect anyone to just send ₦100m, so I thought it was a glitch or maybe someone was trying to set me up, since people had been sending smaller amounts—₦50, ₦100, ₦200, ₦500—and it’s understandable for me to be alarmed.”

After reaching out to those he knew, he eventually received a message from Don Jazzy, which read, “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you’re doing and trust you to be as transparent as always. We really need that in our country. Wishing you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. It’s not easy.”

Following the revelation, Don Jazzy began trending on X (formerly Twitter), with netizens praising his generosity and sending prayers for him.

VeryDarkMan also reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, promising to keep updating the public on the funds raised, revealing that the NGO had already accumulated ₦179 million just five days after its launch.
