Floyd Mayweather and Tyga sued over unpaid jewellery worth millions.

by Admin

Miami jeweller Leonard Sulaymanov has filed a lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Tyga, claiming at least $4 million in damages and alleging RICO violations.

According to the Miami New Times, Sulaymanov is accusing Mayweather and his company, the Money Team, of breaching the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, along with charges of fraud, civil conspiracy, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and civil theft.

The suit, filed on August 23 in a Miami federal court, also names Tyga for allegedly failing to pay for a Rolex watch. Sulaymanov alleges that Mayweather and Tyga used his reputation and inventory to unlawfully acquire jewellery without full payment.

In June 2021, Sulaymanov sold Mayweather several high-end watches and jewellery, receiving only $267,000 before Mayweather left Miami. Two weeks later, Sulaymanov claims he met with Mayweather and Tyga in Las Vegas, where Tyga agreed to buy a Rolex Day-Date for $79,000, and Mayweather made additional purchases but failed to settle his account.

Sulaymanov alleges the defendants created a false sense of security about a business relationship, which led to unpaid balances and delays in payment. The jeweller is seeking over $3.88 million in overdue payments, plus compensation for humiliation and mental anguish.
