The Vatican announced on Monday that Pope Francis rested well during his 17th night in the hospital as he continues to recover from pneumonia. This update follows Sunday’s report that the 88-year-old pontiff remains in a “stable” condition.
“The pope rested well all night,” the Holy See stated in a brief morning update. Pope Francis was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14 with bronchitis, which later progressed to pneumonia in both lungs.
