Iran denies nuclear weapons ambition, reiterating their absence from its doctrine. A Revolutionary Guards commander’s recent warning about potential policy shifts in response to Israeli threats prompted Tehran’s clarification. Despite Israeli concerns, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s religious decree prohibits nuclear weapon development.

Emphasizing peaceful intent, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani reaffirmed Iran’s stance during a Tehran press conference. Last week, both nations exchanged direct military actions for the first time in 40 years.
