Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo is set to extend his stay with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr and is ready to sign a new contract.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, stating that Ronaldo has dismissed recent rumours suggesting a possible exit from the club.
Romano quoted Ronaldo as saying, “My future? Basically, nothing is gonna change. Staying at Al Nassr? Yea.”
The 40-year-old forward recently helped Portugal clinch the Nations League title for the second time, four years after the tournament was first introduced.
Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in December 2022 on a record-breaking deal, has made a massive impact both on and off the pitch. His arrival drew global attention to Saudi football and kickstarted a wave of marquee signings across the league.
Since joining, he has consistently delivered standout performances, keeping Al Nassr competitive at the highest level. His influence has boosted the club’s visibility and contributed to the rising popularity of the Saudi Pro League worldwide.
His decision to stay is a major boost for Al Nassr and further underscores his commitment to the ambitious football vision unfolding in the region.
