Miami Beach has officially revoked singer Diddy’s Key to the City amid his ongoing legal troubles. The city severed ties with the American rapper following a series of charges and lawsuits filed against him.
Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner unanimously stripped Diddy of this honor during an in-person hearing last week. This decision comes nine years after he was awarded the Key to the City in recognition of his contributions to the music industry and his role in organizing the Revolt Music Conference in Miami Beach in 2015.
Diddy is currently facing federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.
