Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly ruled out leaving the Turkish Süper Lig in the January transfer window, as the Nigerian international is focused on winning trophies with the Turkish giants.
Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in September, Osimhen has been in sensational form, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.
His impressive performances have sparked transfer rumours, linking him with a move away from Turkey. A return to Napoli appears unlikely due to a breakdown in his relationship with the Italian club.
English Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have expressed interest in the Super Eagles striker. According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Manchester United officials have already initiated discussions with Napoli representatives. However, Galatasaray remain firm in their determination to retain Osimhen until the end of his loan spell.
Osimhen himself has reiterated his commitment to staying at Galatasaray through the January transfer window. Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, who is close to the player’s camp, confirmed this on his X account, stating that the striker has rejected multiple offers in pursuit of trophies with the Yellow-Reds.
“To make this clear as ABC: Victor Osimhen rejected every offer in January 2025 to stay back at Galatasaray for the full season,” Laba wrote. “Yes, there’s legit concrete interest, but the plan has always been to stay at Galatasaray for the full season and win trophies with the team.”
Despite Osimhen’s stance, former Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu has expressed doubts about the club’s ability to afford a permanent deal for the striker, potentially paving the way for a move to Manchester United or Arsenal in the future.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray are closing in on their 25th Süper Lig title, sitting eight points clear at the top of the league table, while also competing in the Europa League.
