As the planned protest over economic hardship on August 1 approaches, Reno Omokri has urged the Lagos state government to send non-indigenous residents back to their home states to express their grievances.

In an Instagram post, Reno questioned why someone from Abia state, where the government allegedly owes workers’ salaries, would want to protest in Lagos, where civil servants and pensioners are promptly paid.

He claimed that the widespread destruction during the October 20, 2020, EndSARS protest in Lagos was caused by non-indigenes and advised the state government to prevent this from happening again.
