Famous Afrobeat musician Davido has clarified that there is no conflict between him and Wizkid. He made this statement while discussing his decision to hang out with Wizkid prior to the launch of his 2023 album, *Timeless*.
In a trending interview on BBC radio, Davido explained that the purpose of their hangout was to show fans there was no discord between them and to ensure a drama-free album release.
In a video from the interview shared on Instagram by bwetv.ng, Davido recounted how he reached out to one of his key fans, expressing a desire to avoid any confrontations involving Wizkid’s supporters, known as FC.
“I reached out to one of my fans, Tomiwa, who connects with everyone. I told him, ‘Look, my album is coming out on Thursday. Please avoid any fights with Wizkid’s fans.’ I was with Wizkid a couple of days ago, and we weren’t fighting. I wanted my album to come out clean. Unfortunately, Tomiwa ended up getting into a fight, and my album leaked two days before the launch. But these fans are amazing and have their positive sides too.”
