Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the 2024 U.S. presidential election, recently expressed his admiration for tech billionaire Elon Musk, calling him a “super genius” who “must be protected.”
On Wednesday, November 6, Trump shared with his supporters that Musk’s Starlink satellite service played a vital role in saving lives during Hurricane Helene, which hit the southeastern U.S. in October.
“I told Elon they need it badly in North Carolina. Can you get it? He had that there so fast, it was incredible. It saved a lot of lives,” Trump said.
He continued, “He’s a character, he’s a special guy, he’s a super genius. We have to protect our geniuses; we don’t have that many of them.”
Musk has shown strong support for Trump’s campaign, even contributing one million dollars to encourage voters to register for the Republican Party.
