Nigerian music star Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about his friendships in the industry.
He revealed that Rema is one of his closest friends and shared a surreal experience he had before meeting Burna Boy in person—dreaming that they ate pounded yam together.
Speaking on the Afrobeats Podcast, hosted by Adesope, he said:
“Rema is my friend. Seyi Tinubu is also my friend. Regardless of his father being the president and people criticising him, he’s my friend. When he invited me to his home for dinner, it wasn’t about politics—he just loves my music. I’m a street boy. Seyi has nothing to gain from me. Forget what society says.
“The same goes for Rema. Who else should I support? Adele? Speed Darlington? Akpi is not my friend. Burna Boy is my spirit animal—so is Skepta. Before I met Burna Boy, I saw him in my dream, and we were eating pounded yam. Funny enough, when I finally met him, he told me that was the first time he had eaten pounded yam in two years.
“This is real. People think I’m just making things up. They think I talk about Jesus because I’m a fanatic. No—I’m a big fan of Jesus. Anything I say, I declare it both on earth and in heaven, as long as it aligns with God’s will.”
