Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again slashed prices for diesel and aviation fuel, now set at N940 and N980 per liter respectively. This follows their recent reduction to N1,000 just two weeks ago. The N940 rate applies to purchases of five million liters or more, while the N970 rate is for purchases of one million liters or more.
Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Head of Communication, explained that these adjustments align with the company’s commitment to alleviate economic hardship in Nigeria. He also revealed a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations to offer affordable prices nationwide, starting at N1,050 for diesel and N980 for aviation fuel. This partnership aims to prevent retail buyers from facing exorbitant prices.
The Dangote Group aims to improve the welfare of Nigerians and hopes these price reductions will help ease economic challenges. This marks the third significant diesel price reduction in less than three weeks, starting from N1,700 down to N940, with similar reductions for aviation fuel.
President Bola Tinubu and the Director General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Ajayi Kadiri, have both praised these initiatives for their positive impact on the national economy and various sectors like industry, transportation, logistics, and agriculture.
