Popular singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, better known as Joeboy, has revealed the inspiration behind his hit song “Better.” He explained that he wrote the song to shed light on the issue of domestic violence against women.

In a recent interview with popular media personality Vivz, Joeboy discussed the importance of the message in his music. He stated that women are often not treated “properly” in African society, and he wanted to address this issue through his song.

During the interview, the host expressed her admiration for the song: “‘Better’ is my favorite song ever. In that song, it’s like you’re speaking up for a woman who has been treated badly by another man.”

Joeboy responded by highlighting the prevalence of domestic abuse in African society. “It’s something that happens a lot in African society; domestic abuse. Sometimes women are maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women,” he said.
