Korra Obidi, a Nigerian dancer based in the United States, has obtained a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband, Justin Dean.
Korra’s sister, Nancy, shared the update on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that the order was granted after a long legal battle. Korra and Dean’s marriage ended in 2022 following allegations of infidelity.
Additionally, a court document dated January 19, 2022, prohibited Korra and Justin Dean from sharing photos and videos of their children, June and Athena Dean, on the internet.
In June 2023, Korra expressed distress on social media after being reported to Child Protective Services (CPS) by anonymous individuals accusing her of child abuse.
Nancy’s Instagram post detailed accusations of harassment, exploitation, and defamation by Justin and an associate, who allegedly shared intimate content of the children.
“Dear IG fam, I’ve never brought this issue here, but I’m too excited not to share this.
Today, my sister @korraobidi secured a permanent restraining order against her Facebook stalker, who defamed, harassed, and threatened her for over two years.
It doesn’t end there. This stalker befriended my sister’s ex, visited his home, and while there, took pictures and videos of my sister’s children unclad in their father’s bathroom. He allowed the stalker to share these clips and photos with a group of racists in exchange for monetary gains.
So far, my sister has spent nearly $200,000 fighting for her right to be in her children’s lives. Today was the first of several hearings, and she has taken him to court to reclaim her right to motherhood. We’re thrilled with this positive start. The stalker can no longer bully her online or come within 100 yards of her and her children.
I’m grateful to God for my sister. She escaped; not many are that lucky. Now, she’ll fight for her TOTAL FREEDOM.”
