by Admin

Controversial singer and “Zaazoo Zeh” crooner, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been granted bail by the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Portable was arraigned on five counts, including conspiracy, assault, obstruction, possession of dangerous weapons, and conduct likely to cause harm. He pleaded not guilty.

Nine of his aides were also arraigned before Magistrate O. L. Oke on similar charges. The defendants are Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Fatimo Muhammed (26).

They were accused of assaulting and obstructing town planners—Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero—while they were performing their lawful duties at Odogwu Bar, owned by Portable.

Following his plea, Portable’s counsel, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, requested bail, stating that the singer “is now remorseful and has learned his lessons.”

Magistrate O. L. Oke granted Portable ₦2 million bail with one surety in the same amount and adjourned the case to March 5 for trial.
