Ryan Wesley Routh, the man arrested for allegedly targeting former President Donald Trump, had a Biden-Harris sticker on his truck, according to an FBI search of his apartment.

Routh, 58, was arrested on Sunday, September 15, for allegedly attempting to target Trump with an AK-47 near Mar-a-Lago. Once a Trump supporter who voted for him in 2016, Routh later distanced himself from the former president’s policies, accusing Trump of trying to “make Americans slaves to a master,” as reported by the Washington Post. He has since been outspoken about his support for Democratic candidates and causes, frequently expressing his views online.

Since 2019, Ryan Routh, who has a long criminal history, has exclusively donated to Democratic figures and campaigns, aligning himself with the anti-Trump rhetoric endorsed by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the NY Post, Routh, currently under FBI investigation and detained by local police, had a Biden-Harris bumper sticker on his pickup truck at his Kaaawa, Hawaii home. On Sunday, Secret Service and Homeland Security agents searched a former residence of his in Greensboro, North Carolina, and photos of his Hawaii home also surfaced.

In an April 22 post on X, Routh urged Biden to focus his campaign on preserving “America’s democracy and freedom.” “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot, and we cannot lose,” the 58-year-old wrote in a social media post. “We cannot afford to fail. The world is counting on us to lead the way.”
