Nigerian singer Tems likened dating her to an adventure or a movie-like experience.
In a recent interview with media personality Chinasa Akunam on the Is This Seat Taken Podcast, Tems discussed her musical creative process, shared insights into her newfound experiences as a celebrity, and even talked about her hobbies such as poetry.
During their conversation, Akunam posed an intriguing question to the singer, asking her to describe what it’s like to date her. Tems responded, saying, “Complete this sentence ‘Dating me is like…’ Not everyone will have that experience, so let them hear it directly from you.”
After a brief moment of reflection, Tems used a flower analogy to express her complexities.
She said, “Dating me is like discovering a rare species of flower that appears dark on the outside but blooms in shades of pink or purple, yet has a stone at its core. There are many layers to me.”
Tems also likened dating her to an unpredictable adventure or a movie filled with unexpected plot twists.
“It’s like embarking on an adventure, watching a movie unfold. It’s like one of those quirky comedies with bizarre twists. It’s like a storyline where random things happen, but every single time,” she added with laughter.
Additionally, Tems shared her thrilling encounter with American rapper Kendrick Lamar, reminiscing about how he expressed admiration for her work.
