Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stated that Nigerians are among the best doctors in the United States. He made this assertion while discussing African contributions to professional and creative fields on the Afric TV programme.
Davido emphasised the exceptional talent of Africans in various industries, noting their influence on global music and cinema. He remarked, “The best doctors in America are Nigerians. You can search it. Even in my record label [Sony Music], Africans bring the best ideas. That shows that our imagination is off the grid.
“Netflix and Amazon Prime now look to Africa for movie ideas. When you check Netflix, you’ll often see two Nigerian movies in the top 10. Africa is next, trust me. I feel like we have everything but are just missing a couple of things.”
While Nigerians are recognised for their significant contributions as doctors in America, statistics do not definitively confirm they are the best.
