Popular Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has accused Davido of orchestrating his arrest for defamation.
In a series of posts on his X handle, Dammy Krane claimed that he was illegally arrested by the police on Davido’s orders. He also alleged that there were plans to frame him for involvement in crypto scams.
Expressing his concerns, Dammy Krane urged netizens to hold Davido accountable if anything were to happen to him.
“If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. They wrote a petition, falsely accusing me of being involved in Flutterwave & Crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they keep using corrupt cops to tarnish the name of the police,” he posted on X.
The conflict between the two artists began in 2023 when Dammy Krane accused Davido of owing him money. In response, Davido labeled Dammy Krane as ungrateful.
Since then, Dammy Krane has continued to criticize Davido online and even accused him of being involved in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who died in 2017 from alleged alcohol poisoning after a birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos State.
Veteran fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM 1 De Ultimate, addressed the feud during a live performance, urging Dammy Krane and Davido to make peace.
