One of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ close friends has come forward to reveal details of a terrifying incident inside MDC Brooklyn, where the music mogul is currently being held.
According to Charlucci Finney, Diddy woke up in the middle of the night to find a knife pressed against his throat — a moment he described as nearly fatal. Finney told Daily Mail that it’s unclear whether guards intervened or if Diddy managed to fight off the attacker himself, but confirmed it was a very close call.
Sources familiar with the situation also confirmed the story to TMZ, describing it as a targeted act of intimidation. Finney believes the attack was meant to scare Diddy, noting that prison life can be especially dangerous for inmates with sex-related convictions.
During Diddy’s sentencing, his attorney Brian Steel also mentioned the incident, stating that a guard stopped the inmate before any serious harm occurred.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act — a law that prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for unlawful purposes. He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that former U.S. President Donald Trump is considering pardoning Diddy. The White House Communications Office has denied those claims, but TMZ maintains that their sources stand by the story.
Prison consultant Sam Mangel, who spoke on TMZ Live, said Diddy’s next facility is expected to be less violent than MDC Brooklyn. However, he warned that the incident highlights why Diddy must stay vigilant.
For now, Diddy’s safety remains a major concern for his inner circle, with Finney calling the ordeal “terrifying” — a grim reminder of how dangerous life behind bars can be.
