by Admin

A male goat, known as Akmed, caused chaos in the Mt View – Verulam area of KZN, South Africa, when it aggressively targeted both a dog and a group of pupils, prompting a swift response from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).

According to a statement released by RUSA on Friday, April 26, 2024, concerned residents reached out to request assistance as the goat posed a threat to public safety.

The initial call to the Operations Center detailed an urgent situation where the goat was attacking a resident’s dog, setting off alarm bells for the authorities.

Upon arrival at the scene, RUSA officers were shocked to learn that the goat had also assaulted several students while they were on their way to a nearby primary school.

Despite multiple attempts to locate the goat’s owner, none were successful, leading Reaction Officers to take the necessary action to remove the animal from the area.

Following protocol, the goat was safely transported to the RUSA Headquarters for further assessment and containment.

In a subsequent update, RUSA confirmed that the goat had been reunited with its owner, bringing a resolution to the unexpected disturbance in the neighborhood.
