How I Coped with the Loss of Loved Ones – Davido

by Admin

Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, has shared how he copes with the pain of losing loved ones.

Having experienced significant grief, Davido lost his mother, Mrs. Victoria Imade Adeleke, when he was just 11 years old. He also faced the tragic loss of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, along with several close associates, including Tagbo, DJ Olu, Obama DMW, and his personal photographer Fortune, all in quick succession.

In a recent interview with Mystery Fashionist in New York, Davido expressed that his faith has been a source of strength amid these tragedies.

“I have lost a lot of people. I lost my mum at the age of eleven. I’m just trying to be strong. I did a song called ‘Stand Strong.’ I feel like my strength, and my faith, has kept me going,” he shared.

Davido also addressed some misconceptions about himself.

“Sometimes, people think I’m not approachable. On the other hand, some think I’m too accessible. I grew up in a big family, so I’m used to having people around me. My talent and success are God-given,” he explained.
