The newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidinma Adetshina, has revealed that she deleted her X page for the sake of her mental health.
Chidinma faced criticism during her Miss South Africa competition, which was compounded by the South Africa Department of Home Affairs revealing that her mother was allegedly involved in fraud and identity theft.
In an interview with Arise 360, Chidinma shared that the overwhelming and often negative feedback drove her decision to leave the platform.
“At one point, it felt like too much for me,” she said. “I’m someone who reads every comment, which meant I could spend up to 80% of my day doing so. It became toxic for me. Although I use Instagram, I once had to limit my comment section.”
Chidinma also expressed gratitude to her fans for their support.
