Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared that he would still be part of the entertainment industry even if he wasn’t a singer.
He explained that his background in business marketing would have led him to work behind the scenes in music, but added that acting was also a path he seriously considered.
In a recent chat with content creator Darryl, Davido said, “I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space [if I wasn’t singing] but probably, more of behind the scenes.
“I’m investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We’ve got some ideas—series coming. The film space right now in Africa is going into bankruptcy, so we’re definitely going to tap into that.
“I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos—like ‘Jowo’, ‘Nwa Baby’.”
