Inter Milan booked their spot in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after a thrilling 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at the San Siro on Wednesday night, sealing a 4-3 victory on aggregate.
After a tense goalless first half, the game exploded into life in the second. Bayern struck first through Harry Kane in the 52nd minute, assisted by Leon Goretzka, giving the visitors hope. But Inter hit back quickly—Lautaro Martínez equalised in the 58th minute, and just moments later, Benjamin Pavard put the hosts ahead with a well-timed finish from Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s pass, regaining Inter’s aggregate advantage.
Bayern refused to go down quietly. Eric Dier found the net in the 76th minute, set up by Serge Gnabry, to bring the match level again. But the German side couldn’t find the winner they needed, and Inter held on for a famous 4-3 win over two legs.
The fiercely contested match saw yellow cards handed out to Kim Min-Jae (28’), Eric Dier (45’+1), and Marko Arnautović (69’), adding to the intensity of a dramatic European night.
