German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen have officially announced Erik ten Hag as their new head coach.
The Dutch manager has signed a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2027.
“Let’s get started! Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027!” the club wrote in a statement shared on X on Monday.
Ten Hag, 54, takes over from Xabi Alonso, who guided Leverkusen to domestic glory before stepping down.
He was widely seen as the top contender for the job following Alonso’s departure. The agreement is a two-year contract set to run through the 2026/27 season.
