The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially announced that the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course will commence on Wednesday, 11th June 2025.
This was confirmed in a statement signed by Caroline Embu, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations. Prospective corps members, along with their parents and guardians, are advised to mark their calendars and prepare accordingly.
NYSC also urged all stakeholders to stay updated by following its official social media channels for timely announcements.
The orientation course marks the beginning of national service and includes essential training, lectures, and preparatory activities.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General OO Nafiu, the NYSC Director-General, has advised corps members to manage their N77,000 allowance wisely. During a virtual address to the 2025 Batch A Stream I corps members, he stressed the importance of financial discipline and prioritising needs over wants.
He also highlighted the significance of health and safety, reminding corps members to utilise their NHIA health coverage and avoid unapproved travel.
In terms of empowerment, the DG encouraged corps members to build on the skills learned during the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme and consider accessing loans available through NYSC partner institutions to become wealth creators.
