‘My son is dead’: Elon Musk opens up about his transgender child

by Admin

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, revealed that he was “tricked” into consenting to his child receiving puberty blockers. In a live interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson on X, Musk shared that his decision to move SpaceX’s headquarters from California was influenced by Assembly Bill 1955. This new law, signed by Governor Gavin Newsom on July 15, 2024, allows schools to keep students’ sexual orientation and gender identity confidential from their parents.

Musk discussed his personal experience with his child, Xavier, who now identifies as transgender and goes by Vivian Jenna Wilson. Musk expressed regret, saying he was misled about the nature of puberty blockers, which he now views as forms of sterilization. He claimed that he was informed of a potential suicide risk, leading him to sign documents without fully understanding the implications.

Peterson challenged Musk’s view, suggesting that the claim of a suicide risk was unfounded and that higher suicide rates are linked to underlying depression, not gender dysphoria. Musk insisted that promoting such treatments is “incredibly evil” and stated his commitment to combating what he calls the “woke mind virus.”

A preprint study by the Mayo Clinic has linked puberty blockers to long-term fertility issues, contrary to previous assertions of reversibility. Vivian Musk publicly came out as transgender in June 2022 and changed her name to Vivian, distancing herself from her biological father.

Musk’s decision to relocate SpaceX’s headquarters to Texas was announced in response to the new California law, marking it as a significant factor in his move. He clarified that his decision was planned and not a reaction to the bill’s signing.
