Indigenous rapper Chibuzor Nelson Azubike, popularly known as Phyno, has firmly cautioned fans against comparing him to fellow rapper Olamide or any other artist.
For years, fans have frequently drawn comparisons between Phyno, who primarily raps in Igbo, and his frequent collaborator Olamide, who predominantly raps in Yoruba.
On Friday, an X user with the handle @TheDamiForeign reignited the debate by asking, “When it comes to rap, who’s the GOAT? Phyno versus Olamide.” Phyno, visibly frustrated, responded, saying, “Yo!!! What’s wrong with you guys for God’s sake? Stop putting me up against my brother or anyone else. Do your banter with someone else… na ala adi agba unu… wtf.”
