In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that they had agreed to “an immediate ceasefire on all energy and infrastructure.”
The leaders also committed to working swiftly toward a full ceasefire to bring an end to “this very horrible war.”
“This war would never have started if I were President!” Trump stated.
He added that their discussion included key elements of a potential peace agreement, acknowledging the heavy toll on soldiers’ lives. According to Trump, both President Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are eager to see the conflict end.
“That process is now in full force and effect, and we will, hopefully, for the sake of humanity, get the job done!” he wrote.
