A top neurologist in Washington D.C., USA, reportedly met with President Biden’s personal doctor at the White House earlier this year, according to a new report by the NY Post. The publication claims it reviewed visitor logs showing that Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease expert at Walter Reed Medical Center, met with Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s personal doctor, and two others at the White House residence clinic on January 17.
The revelation comes as questions continue to mount about the 81-year-old president’s mental health following his debate gaffe last week with former US President Donald Trump.
Dr. John E. Atwood, a cardiologist at Walter Reed Medical Center, was also present at the 5 P.M. meeting, according to the NY Post’s review of the White House visitor logs.

The fourth individual from that day’s logs remains unidentified, coinciding with President Biden’s presence at the White House where he hosted House and Senate leaders to advocate for increased Ukraine funding, as per his official schedule.
Dr. Kevin Cannard is a prominent figure in Parkinson’s disease research, having spent nearly two decades at Walter Reed Medical Center. Since 2012, he has served as the neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit, according to his LinkedIn profile. His latest paper, published in August 2023 in Parkinsonism & Related Disorders, focuses on early-stage manifestations of the disease.
Given Dr. O’Connor’s primary responsibility for President Biden’s health, it is highly probable that the meeting involved discussions concerning the president, as suggested by Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), physician to both Presidents Obama and Trump.
“It’s highly likely they were discussing Biden,” Jackson told The Post. “His regular focus should be solely on the president and the first family.”
Dr. Kevin O’Connor has been President Biden’s official physician since he assumed office in January 2021 and maintains daily contact with him.
