WWE legend John Cena has revealed his plans to retire from in-ring competition. Appearing at WWE Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada, the 16-time world champion announced that he will retire from the sport in 2025.
Cena disclosed that the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will be his final matches.
Wearing a ‘John Cena Farewell Tour 2025’ shirt, the WWE icon said, “I’ve been in the WWE for over two decades, and during that time, I’ve witnessed incredible waves of prosperity like we have right now. WWE is the hottest ticket in town, no doubt, but I have also seen true hardship, when no one knows your name, nobody wants to be your friend, and only the most dedicated and hardcore fans stand by your side.”
He added that he wants to be involved when Raw moves to Netflix in January.
Cena made his WWE debut in 2002. However, since 2018, he has taken on a more part-time role in the company to focus on his movie career.
