Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has shared his thoughts on why many women remain unmarried in their 30s, attributing it to choices they made during their younger years.
In an interview with News Central, Kanayo explained that some women spend their 20s dating wealthy, often married older men while turning down younger, eligible suitors.
He stated, “A girl in the university at 18, 19, or 20 begins dating a very rich, sometimes older, man. Because he provides her with things like cars and houses, she rejects the advances of younger men. To her, she’s operating on a high level.
“From 22 to 24, she continues this pattern, moving on to another rich man if the first relationship ends. By 25 or 26, she’s still unmarried, having rejected younger suitors. By 29 or 30, she’s out of the university, but men no longer find her as attractive.
“She turns 31, and no husband comes. At 23, she’s enjoying life; at 28, she becomes a prayer point; and by 33, she’s in a state of emergency because finding a husband becomes increasingly difficult. Some women reach 35 still unmarried, believing they’re having fun, but they’re actually in a desperate situation, praying for God to bring anyone.”
