Renowned musician D’banj has acknowledged the significant role that his former business partner and producer, Don Jazzy, has played in his career.
The ‘Oliver Twist’ hitmaker expressed that his musical journey could not be considered complete without Don Jazzy.
He made this disclosure on Tuesday, while sharing a clip from his courtesy visit to Don Jazzy, during which he handed over the invitation card to his 20th-anniversary dinner in the music industry.
D’banj stated that the moment, filled with nostalgia, reminded him of the milestones they had achieved together over the years.
Sharing the video via his X handle, D’banj captioned it: “My 20-year journey cannot be complete without @DONJAZZY again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia. As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together. Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and unwavering support. Love you always, Brother! OooSHeeeee.”
D’banj and Don Jazzy co-founded Mo’Hits Records in 2004. Mo’Hits disbanded as a label in 2012, with Don Jazzy citing differences in interests as the reason.
Don Jazzy went on to establish Mavins Record Label, while D’banj started DB Record Label.
