The Recording Academy has unveiled the nominees for the 67th Grammys, with the Best African Music Performance category dominated entirely by Nigerian artists.

American artist Chris Brown, the only non-Nigerian in the category, was included with his song “Sensational,” featuring Davido and Lojay.

The nominees for Best African Music Performance are:
“Tomorrow” by Yemi Alade
“MMS” by Asake featuring Wizkid
“Sensational” by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay
“Higher” by Burna Boy
“Love Me JeJe” by Tems

The previous year’s winner of the inaugural Best African Music Performance award was South African singer Tyla for her song “Water.”

Additionally, Nigerian artists Rema and Tems earned nominations in the Best Global Music Album category, with Tems’ debut album Born In The Wild and Rema’s HEIS making the list. They will compete with Matt B and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s Alkebulan II, Ciro Hurtado’s Paisajes, and Antonio Rey’s Historias De Un Flamenco.

Tems also received a nomination in the Best R&B Song category for her track “Burning.” This year, the Best R&B Song category features only female nominees, with Tems up against “After Hours” by Kehlani, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” by Coco Jones, “Ruined Me” by Muni Long, and “Saturn” by SZA.
