The accident which occurred on Sunday morning in Porvoo took the life of a 17-year-old male. It was reported that the driver of the ATV derailed from the road and had a collision with a tree which resulted to his death.
According to Iltalehti, the driver had a helmet on his head, but its thongs had been open and the helmet had been thrown in a collision from the driver’s head.
The emergency center received a report of the accident after two o’clock on Sunday morning, and several rescue services, the police patrol and the accident investigation board were alerted to the scene.
The driver of the ATV was found dead at the scene of the accident.
Police will continue the normal investigation into the cause of death, and no further information will be provided, Iltalehti stated.
