Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has criticised Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy for allegedly failing to fulfil his promise of buying a Lamborghini for socialite Sophia Egbueje after a one-night stand.
In a recently leaked audio recording, Sophia accused Burna Boy of not keeping his word after their encounter.
Reacting to the controversy, Okorie stated that Burna Boy took advantage of Sophia, emphasising that she had already made her expectations clear.
The actress argued that as a role model, Burna Boy should have led by example and kept his promise.
In a video shared via her Instagram page, Okorie said, “This is the worst thing any celebrity could do. You were made a superstar for a reason—to advocate for those who cannot speak and help those in need. Instead, you took advantage of a girl who told you her price.
“People criticising Sophia for demanding a Lamborghini are being unfair. She stated her worth, and if you could afford it, then you could proceed. But as a public figure, an A-list superstar, you should be setting a better example instead of exploiting the situation.”
