Grammy-winning South African singer Tyla has revealed that Nigerian R&B star Tems is one of her biggest musical influences.
In a recent interview with Billboard, the Water hitmaker shared that Tems’ success has had a major impact on her.
“Tems is a big one. What she’s been able to do has been very inspiring,” Tyla said.
She also named Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, and Aaliyah as other artists who have shaped her music.
During the interview, Tyla confirmed that her sophomore album will be released this year, hinting that it will be completely different from her debut album.
