Why I No Longer Enjoy Being Around My Family – Peller

by Admin

Nigerian content creator and online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat — widely known as Peller — has opened up about the emotional weight of becoming the primary provider for his family at a young age.

In a candid conversation with fellow TikToker Sandra Benede, the 19-year-old revealed that, despite having living parents and older siblings, he bears the bulk of his family’s financial responsibilities.

Peller shared that the pressure has left him feeling more like a parent than a teenager, adding that he now prefers to support his family from a distance rather than being physically present.

“I’m not feeling okay. The other day, I slept in my car and didn’t wake up until the next morning,” he said. “I’m not even 20 yet, and I don’t like what I’m facing at this young age. It’s not fair.”

He continued, “I don’t like seeing my family anymore. I just send them money to make sure they’re okay. I feel like I’m their parent — even though I have an elder brother. My mindset is now bigger than living with my parents.”

The young star admitted that the stress of carrying such responsibility leaves him drained. “I don’t rest. Sometimes I feel like running away and hiding somewhere in America. I’ve wanted to do it, but I hold back because I don’t want them to worry.”

Reflecting on how much has changed, he added, “When I was younger, I used to miss my mum whenever I travelled. But now, I don’t miss anyone in my family — except Jarvis. I talk to them on the phone, but I don’t miss them.”
