AFCON 2023: Super Eagles friendlies against Burkina Faso, Cape Verde canceled, to now play Guinea

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play Syli National of Guinea in a friendly game as part of preparations for the AFCON 2023 after two friendly games with Burkina Faso and Cape Verde were called off.

The game between the Eagles and Guinea is billed for Monday, 8 January, 2024.

Guinea will face Cameroon, Gambia and champions Senegal at this year’s AFCON while the Eagles will take on Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.

As at press time, 22 players are already in the Eagles training camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
