Black Smoke at the Vatican, No Pope Chosen Yet

Black smoke poured from the chimney of the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel for a second day on Thursday as cardinals in conclave once again failed to elect a new pope.

Thousands of faithful and onlookers gathered in St Peter’s Square, eagerly awaiting the smoke on the morning of the second day of secret voting by the 133 cardinal electors.
