Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, famously known as Burna Boy, has made history as the first African artist with Grammy nominations for six consecutive years. Known for his ‘African Giant’ anthem, Burna Boy has been nominated every year since 2018, an impressive milestone for an African artist.

He now holds a total of 11 Grammy nominations, with one win to his name. This year, his hit song ‘Higher’ is nominated for Best African Music Performance.

Meanwhile, Tems leads as the most-nominated Nigerian artist at the 67th Grammys, with three nods in the Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance, and Best R&B Song categories for ‘Born In The Wild,’ ‘Love Me Jeje,’ and ‘Burning,’ respectively, bringing her Grammy nomination count to eight.
